Meliá Hotels International today announced the addition of a new hotel to the portfolio of exclusive resorts operated under its ME by Meliá brand. Located alongside the beach in Sitges and occupying what until now has been the Hotel Terramar, the new ME Sitges Terramar will be the first hotel for this avant-garde luxury brand on the Catalan coast after its success in some of the most popular destinations in the Mediterranean, such as Mallorca and Ibiza.
For at least the next 20 years, the Meliá group will manage the hotel owned by HI Partners.After a thorough renovation, the hotel will open in the second quarter of 2017, offering 213 rooms, 2 restaurants, one of which has a 1,200 square metre terrace, bars, a cafeteria, and extensive meeting and convention facilities, as well as a wellness area and kids club. ME Sitges Terramar will also have a spectacular Beach Club.

The ME by Meliá brand was launched by the Group a decade ago, and is the most avant-garde expression of Meliá Hotels International. Its hotels are located in the most attractive cities and resort destinations around the world and are epicentres for fashion, design, art and gastronomy, such as the ME Madrid, ME London, ME Milan, and the recently opened ME Miami, or resorts such as the ME Ibiza and ME Mallorca, among others, which have reinterpreted the concept of sun and beach vacations in a luxury lifestyle mode.
